Eretz Yisrael Yomi was established with the goal of a daily recharging of the innate love for Eretz Yisrael and the idealism of living in Eretz Yisrael based on sources from the Torah and Chazal. The emphasis of each d’var Torah is to illustrate:
The writers of the divrei torah are current/past avreichim (kollel members) and talmidim (students) of Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav. Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav is recognized as a Torah institution that connects Torat Eretz Yisrael in accordance with Torah sources, Chazal, and the teachings of Rav Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook za”tsal and his son, Rav Tzvi Yehuda HaCohen Kook, za”tsal .
A concise learning with one major theme in each dvar torah to reinforce the positive connection of Jews to Eretz Yisrael and seek ways to educate Jews and to facilitate the referencing of topics/themes related to Eretz Yisrael.
We hope the Divrei Torah from Eretz Yisrael Yomi will:
Inspire Aliya to Eretz Yisrael.
Strengthen those that already live in Eretz Yisrael.
Encourage shiurim and in-depth study of Eretz Yisrael.
As we are in the process of building a daily dvar torah on Eretz Yisrael, we have undertaken to initially start with two dirvei torah per week: One on the parsha and one dvar torah on one of the other topics: Nach, Mishna, Gemara, Midrash, Tefilah, or Series for example on the Ramban, Kuzari, and more.
